KDM International are opening their second distribution depot in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The site is in a prime location next to the A14, giving quick and easy access to major routes and enabling KDM to service their growing customer base in South, South East and South West England.

Having experienced almost 100% growth in year-on-year sales of their garden products, KDM have taken steps to ensure this growth pattern continues during 2008 and beyond. Sales Director, Ivan Walshe explains "we have always been able to service the whole of the UK from or Wakefield depot, which has been growing every year since we started the garden products range 10 years ago, but our new depot in Bury St Edmunds will bring us closer to new and existing customers in the South, as well as giving us room for further expansion from our original depot in Wakefield".

Established in 1975, KDM have a wealth of experience in importing timber for most UK softwood markets and were one of the first importers to the European Panel market in 1998. Growth in the Outdoor Timber Products range since then has been between 50 and 100% every year. 2008 has seen the product range expanded further, including the new European Cabin range to compliment the existing Svenskabin range, as well as the KDM Playground Range of products. KDM's new Playground Range is also available from stock; Using fully cut-to-length timber components together with the durable, tried and tested Blue Rabbit design products, this growing market is now easily accessable for KDM customers.

The new Bury St Edmunds depot will enable KDM to continue it's focus in offering a variety of quality products on a just-in-time basis, to suit our customers needs. All products in the new brochure, from fencing panels, decking and decking accessories, furniture, playground products and cabins, can be mixed on deliveries from the Bury St Edmunds depot, as they are from Wakefield.

All timber used to produce the KDM product range is sourced from well managed and sustainable resources and where possible under the close scrutiny of certified forestry control. To reinforce their commitment to the environment, KDM hold FSC and PEFC Chain of Custody accreditation.

KDM would like to thank all customers who came to their open day in Wakefield in January and took advantage of the many offers available there on the day. As in 2007 & 2008, customers who attended will benefit from early orders. KDM will be holding an open day in Bury St Edmunds on Wednesday 20th February, to enable all potential and existing customers to the view the 2008 product range first hand.
